We want you to have the best learning experience possible, so only the best teachers will do. You won’t find a more committed, passionate and professional team than ours. We have teachers from all walks of life, from various countries, with a healthy mix of native and non-native speaking professionals. Our current mix of fully certified teachers includes teachers from Canada, Malaysia, England, Iraq, Yemen and Ireland, and the list is ever-growing.
At Bristol Academy, we only recruit welcoming, mature, and energetic teachers, who are sourced from around the world. We are proud of the diversity of our staff, who have the relevant tools, skills and most effective methods to teach English and are required to have a minimum of CELTA, CertTESOL or the local TEFL equivalent certificate. The Director of Studies ensures the ongoing excellence of our teachers’ performance with regular teaching observations, training workshops and feedback sessions with our teachers, as well as providing a supportive and collegial atmosphere in which ideas and good practice can be shared. Our teachers are encouraged to be creative and inspiring while at the same time ensuring that they deliver the carefully graded syllabus which has been designed to make sure you make maximum progress in your English course.
Our teachers are key to the success of our students and engage with them on a familiar and one-to-one basis. Our teachers don’t just stand in front of the class – they bring the lesson to life with a strong emphasis on fully interactive participation and a communicative approach. We discourage the use of textbooks, dry photocopies and dull texts. We prefer our classes to be hands-on, communicative and interactive.
Our instructors are highly qualified teachers from various countries, and including a balanced mix of native and non-native professionals. All our instructors are certified and equipped with the relevant tools, skills and methods to teach English as a foreign language. Our dedicated Director of Studies ensures the academic and teaching quality of your assigned instructors throughout the programme.
